I had a wired problem in my firefox. Some thing like : "Every time I go to download any kind of file it crashes. I don't get an error report because it automatically sends the report without me seeing it. It even crashes when I'm saving pictures (on the save as part it is just blank. it doesn't have png or jpg or gif or anything). Then when I try to go to options to change the options it crashes again. I basically can't do anything except surf."
After a few search in google, I got the solution. Do the following things:
In your "Working Profile" C\docs&settings\username\applications\mozilla\firefox\profile...
Look for: downloads.rdf , Delete this file with Firefox closed.
When you restart a new clean file will be created.
If you are searching for the file name: downloads.rdf make sure you have show hidden files/folders enabled.
You can also go to Start > Run: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\ProfilesThe ********.default folder (random name) is the profile folder. If you have more than one then check them all: with Firefox running you have a parent.lock file. Always close Firefox before making changes to the profile folder.
So be aware and make your download list clean.
